Augusta James wins by 6 shots

WOODSTOCK, Ontario -- North Carolina State senior Augusta James won the Canadian Women's Amateur on Friday, shooting a 2-under 69 for a six-stroke victory.

James, from Bath, Ontario, had a 14-under 270 total at Craigowan Golf and Country Club. She broke the tournament and course records Thursday with a 63.

"It's such an honor to be part of a strong tradition," James said. "So many fantastic women before me have won this tournament, so I'm proud to have my name up with them."
