Tiger Woods set for CIMB Classic

AKRON, Ohio -- Tiger Woods will head to Asia this fall to play for the first time in the CIMB Classic, a limited-field tournament in Malaysia.

The 48-player event that will become official on the PGA Tour in 2013 is in its third year and will be played at the Mines Resort & Golf Club in Kuala Lumpur, Oct. 25-28.

Woods, however, will skip the World Golf Championship event the following week in China, according to his agent, Mark Steinberg. The WGC-HSBC Champions is Nov. ...
