Phil Mickelson 10th in world rankings

With his victory at the Waste Management Phoenix Open on Sunday, Phil Mickelson vaulted to No. 10 in the official world golf rankings.

The 42-year-old, four-time major winner is inside the top 10 for the first time since being ninth in the world back on May 20, 2012.

Mickelson, who was 22nd in the world coming into last week, will defend his title at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am starting Thursday. He outdueled Tiger Woods in the final round last year.
