PGA of Australia adopts new rule
SYDNEY -- The PGA of Australia has joined the PGA Tour in adopting a new rule prohibiting the anchored putting stroke for all tournaments it sanctions starting on Jan. 1, 2016.
In May, golf's two governing bodies -- the Royal & Ancient Golf Club and the U.S. Golf Association -- adopted Rule 14-1b, which prohibits players from anchoring a club against their bodies beginning in 2016.
