O'Toole to lead USGA starting in Feb.

Thomas J. O'Toole, Jr. will become the next president of the United States Golf Association when the sport's governing body in the United States and Mexico holds its annual meeting in February.

The USGA nominated the 56-year-old O'Toole to a one-year term as president. He is expected to formally take over when the organization holds its annual meeting in February.

Presidents traditionally serve consecutive one-year terms, as did the outgoing Glen Nager.
