Phil Mickelson to focus on U.S. Open
Phil Mickelson is sick of finishing second at the U.S. Open, so he will scale back his tournament commitments to go after that elusive prize.
"There is no hiding the fact that winning the U.S. Open would be my career goal, completing the career grand slam," Mickelson said Wednesday before the PGA Tour's CIMB Classic in Malaysia.
"That is the final leg that I have, and I'll be putting most of my focus into winning the U.S. Open."
