Players will stay in position and wait out the rain on the course until it becomes playable in approximately 20 minutes. #PGAChamp

Players are holding positions on the course during rain delay at PGA Championship. Hoping to resume in approx 20 minutes once course is playable.

Former PGA Tour and European Tour player Thomas Levet just told me that play has been suspended so they can squeegee off the greens. Players are holding position since 8:15 and will resume as soon as they can get the course playable. He also said one of the practice putting greens is un-puttable because of puddles.

Are there good scores out there today? Not so far in this weather. Only three players on the course are under par. Danny Lee, Billy Horschel, and Matt Kuchar are -1. Everyone else is even or worse!

The weather horn blew at Baltusrol GC at 814 AM due to heavy rains. PGA Championship now in a delay.

The good news? Second round play for the PGA Championship has started on time! The bad news? Steady rain has everyone struggling to keep hands and grips dry.

Eric Lundsten ESPN Producer

Baltusrol G.C. Took on 1" of rain overnight and it continues this morning. But the first groups of the PGA Championship went out as scheduled at 7 AM to start round two and the range is doing a brisk business.

Stephan Jaeger shot the first-ever 58 in a PGA Tour-sanctioned event today, posting matching nines of 29-29 in the opening round of the Ellie Mae Classic on the Web.com Tour. With a 10-foot birdie putt on the final hole, Jaeger concluded his round with 12 birdies, six pars and no bogeys. And it actually could've been even better -- after reaching the par-5 third green in two, he three-putted for par.
