Sim beats Duke in playoff for first Nationwide win

CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Michael Sim birdied the first playoff
hole Monday to beat Ken Duke and win his first Nationwide Tour
event, the PalmettoPride Classic.

Sim finished his 1-under 71 fourth round Monday tied with Duke
at 12-under 276 after rain delayed the event for nearly three hours

Duke (65), who moved atop the money list with his finish, missed
a 10-footer for birdie on the playoff hole and watched as the
Australian rookie rolled in the winner.

Sim, who turned 22 Monday, moved to No. 18 on the money list
with only one full-field event and the Nationwide Tour Championship
at The Houstonian left on the schedule.

The top 20 on the money list qualify for the PGA Tour in 2007.
