SAN FRANCISCO -- If the International team is going to win its second Presidents Cup, captain Greg Norman's squad will need to make history.

In the seven previous editions of this event, the United States has won the Sunday singles session four times, while halving it twice. Only once has the International side triumphed in this format; that came two years ago at Royal Montreal.

Yet even a repeat performance wouldn't be enough to claim this year's title. Trailing 12.5-9.5, the Internationals need to win eight full points in order to win the Cup; one half-point less and it would end in a tie.
