Suzann Pettersen to skip major
Suzann Pettersen, the world's No. 2-ranked player, will miss this week's Kraft Nabisco Championship because of an aggravated disk in her back, it was announced Tuesday.

"It's so unfortunate that I can't compete this week," Pettersen said. "I dearly love this event and would do anything to play. At this point, I just need to be smart and not make a bad situation worse."
Pettersen, who said on Twitter last week that she had tweaked her back prior to withdrawing from the Kia Classic, cannot compete because of the pain and is undergoing treatment to return to competition as soon as possible.
She had four victories among her 15 top-10 finishes and was second in scoring average and money earned in 2013.
