Who would win in a McIlroy, Spieth wrestling match?

Could world No. 1 Jordan Spieth, left, take No. 3 Rory McIlroy in a wrestling match? Sounds like a charity event in the making. Jamie Squire/Getty Images

When it comes to golf, world No. 3 Rory McIlroy and No. 1 Jordan Spieth appear pretty evenly matched. So how about another sporting endeavor?

"Who would win a wrestling match, me or Jordan Spieth? Me obviously," McIlroy said in a cheerful tone answering fan questions during a Facebook video post on Thursday. "[Spieth] might win the putting competition, though."

Thanking my 1m fans!

The four-time major winning Northern Irishman tackled such topics as where he'll play in the coming year (Jack Nicklaus' Memorial Tournament should be back on his schedule) and if he had to pick a favorite between Happy Gilmore and Caddyshack, who gets the nod? (McIlroy went with Happy Gilmore.)

Earlier this week, Spieth did his best Happy Gilmore impersonation at a charity golf event.

The 26-year-old McIlroy also hinted at places he'll likely play in the coming years (South Africa, to keep a promise to Ernie Els) and what's the best course they play on the PGA Tour all year (Augusta National.)
