The Federal Aviation Administration is looking into how the s main cabin door of a private jet landed on a South Florida golf course, according to a report by the Associated Press.
The FAA report said the Canadair CL60's door fell Wednesday afternoon on the 16th fairway of the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa's golf course in Hallandale Beach.
The jet took off from Opa-Locka Executive Airport en route to its home base 30 miles north at Pompano Beach Municipal Airport when it lost the door. The pilot diverted and landed at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
The course was closed for maintenance Wednesday and no injuries were reported.
