Another tie at the "Showdown," leaving Woods up overall at the turn.
Now 2-up on Duval, Woods began to play conservatively on the par-4, 446-yard Hole 9.
Duval, however, used a 3-wood off the tee, knocking it nicely onto the fairway a little bit farther than Woods' shot.
Woods, trying to avoid mistakes, still landed on the green easily on his second shot. Duval, from about 189-yards out, hit a small hill on the green and rolled to set up a 12-foot birdie putt.
Woods, from about 20 feet, missed his birdie putt, leaving the door open for Duval. With little room for error, Duval missed a 18-footer for birdie by about an inch and a half.
