Twomey impresses with his ability to pitch, rather than throw, and his out pitch is curveball that flashes as a plus pitch. He's generally sat in the 85-88 mph range in games, but has touched 91 in showcases and his fastball has shown some arm side run. He's headed to USC if he doesn't sign a pro deal, but has a shot at a Day 1 selection, and the first round isn%u2019t completely out of the question.

Twomey is one of the elite left handed pitchers in the country, rated No. 70 overall by Perfect Game USA. He was a 2011 Under Armour and Perfect Game All-American selection as well as a MaxPreps All-California first team honoree. Twomey played in the 2011 Area Code Games for the Milwaukee Brewers and participated in the USA Baseball Tournament of Stars. He was named Century League Pitcher of the Year after posting a 7-3 record with a 1.32 ERA and 65 strikeouts last season for head coach Dave Moore at El Dorado High School. Parents are Mike and Cindy Twomey.
