A 6-1, 195-pound right-handed pitcher from Kathleen, Ga., Austin is the son of Nedda and Ray Wallace. A two-sport standout in football and baseball, he is an Honor student at Houston County High School. Wallace went 4-2 with a 3.75 ERA and 43 strikeouts in 45 innings for the Bears and coach Jason Brett. A two-time All-American, he has earned the FCA Award in 2011, the Coaches Award in 2010. He was selected for Team Georgia this past summer and has been ranked among the top 20 players in the state. Also, he is active with the Partners Club, a school group that volunteers with special needs children.
