We've broken down the state's top 20 players into two teams -- one of position players and one of pitchers. Keep in mind, these preseason selections were determined by a combination of in-season performance and recruit rankings.

POSITION PLAYERS


Jacob Boylan, Raymore-Peculiar, 1B, Senior
Kansas recruit hit .467 with nine home runs and 44 RBIs.

William DuPont, Lafayette, 3B, Senior
Had monster season with .529 average, six HRs and 25 stolen bases.

Connor Einertson, Westminster, OF, Senior
His .520 average and 39 RBIs were key to Wildcats' run to Class 3 title.

Matt Fultz, Lee's Summit West, C, Senior
Kansas State commit batted .470 and smashed nine HRs with 48 RBIs.

Danny Holst, Parkway South, SS, Senior
Versatile Player hit .488 with 42 runs scored and 20 stolen bases.

Bralin Jackson, Raytown South, OF, Senior
Played in the Area Code Games this past summer.

Spencer Johnson, Parkview, 1B/OF, Senior
Missouri State rcruit batted .438 with 13 home runs and 43 RBIs.

Braxton Martinez, Francis Howell North, SS, Senior
Posted .522 average along with 10 home runs and 48 RBIs.

Tate Matheny, Westminster, OF, Senior
Power hitter batted .505 with 10 HRs, 54 RBIs and 53 runs scored.

Jake Walters, Vianney, 2B, Senior
Hit .490 with 32 RBIs, 47 runs scored and 24 extra-base hits.

Went 6-1 with a 1.03 ERA and 77 strikeouts.

Jonathan Harris, Hazelwood Central, RHP, Senior
Missouri State recruit struck out 69 and held batters to .194 average.

Posted 9-0 record with 1.31 ERA on the mound.

Ben Lovell, Westminster, LHP, Junior
Key piece for Class 3 champs posted 10-1 record with 1.89 ERA and 78 K's.

C.J. Martin, Oakville, RHP, Senior
