We've broken down the state's top 20 players into two teams -- one of position players and one of pitchers. Keep in mind, these preseason selections were determined by a combination of in-season performance and recruit rankings.

Lead-off hitter hit .426 last summer with 19 RBIs.

Scott Cullinane, East Greenwich, C/1B, Senior
Hit over .400 during junior season.

Reed Gamache, Bishop Hendricken, 2B, Senior
Signed to play for Binghamton next season.

Tim Graul, Moses Brown, C, Senior
Hit .410 with 24 RBIs last season.

Chris Hess, North Kingstown, 3B/SS, Junior
All-state selection as a sophomore.

Jesse Lee, La Salle, OF, Senior
Signed letter of intent to play for Rhode Island.

T.J. Lynch, South Kingstown, 3B, Senior
Hit .400 during a strong junior season; signed with Rhode Island.

Ryan Sweenor, South Kingstown, 2B/SS/3B, Senior
His .427 average helped him earn an all-division selection.
