We've broken down the state's top 20 players into two teams -- one of position players and one of pitchers. Keep in mind, these preseason selections were determined by a combination of in-season performance and recruit rankings.

Josh Baker, University School, 1B, Senior
Hit .532 during a stellar junior campaign.

Bill Brookshaw, Prescott, IF, Senior
Finished junior season with a .492 batting average.

Mitchell Champagne, OF, Coleman, Senior
Solid defender who also is great with the bat (.507 avg.).

Alex Cordova, Merrill, 2B/SS/3B, Senior
Made all-state as a junior after batting .493 on the year.

Blake Correll, St. Thomas More, C, Senior
Hit .365 last season as a junior.

Clark Eagan, Appleton North, 1B/OF, Junior
Three-sport star hit .494 as a sophomore.

Nathan Mikolas, Bradford, OF/1B, Senior
2011 Area Code Games participant; signed with Louisville.

Tyler Oren, Edgerton, SS/2B, Senior
Swiped 22 bases while hitting .400 during his junior campaign.

Nate Ricci, Madison La Follette, 1B/OF, Senior
Hit .420 as a junior; signed with Jacksonville University.

Nate Schmidt, Pardeeville, 3B, Senior
His .573 avg. helped land him on all-state team.
