For the second straight week, there is a new No. 1 in the POWERADE FAB 50 with Calallen (Corpus Christi, Texas) taking the position previously occupied by Jesuit (Tampa, Fla.).

Jesuit was beaten in the Class 5A state semifinals last week by No. 6 American Heritage (Plantation, Fla.), while Calallen won twice in the Class 4A regional quarterfinals.

Reasons for Calallen going up includes the team owning a head-to-head win over No. 14 Carroll (Corpus Christi, Texas). The Wildcats also may get a chance to avenge their only loss in the regional finals against No. 23 Moody (Corpus Christi, Texas).

Gainesville (Ga.) moved up to the No. 2 spot, but the Red Elephants have already lost a game -- their first of the season -- this week as they dropped a 4-3 contest on Monday to Ringgold (Ga.) in the Class AAA state semifinals. Gainesville came back later in the night to win the second game and will play the Tigers in a third and deciding game on Tuesday.

All of the Georgia state championships will be wrapped up by the weekend and there's still a chance that the Class AAA final will be No. 2 Gainesville against No. 5 Columbus (Ga). Columbus also went 1-1 on Monday in its series against Troup County (LaGrange, Ga.) and like Gainesville will need to win on Tuesday to advance.

Keep in mind that all Monday scores are not reflected in the rankings until the following week.
