The Thanksgiving Week yielded some interesting results as the nation gradually begins play. Midwest and Southeast teams tipped off their regular seasons, but only one school -- No. 49 Hall (Little Rock, Ark.) -- joins the ESPN RISE 50 boys' basketball rankings.

This week, a majority of the teams from the West Region amd others in the Southwest, East and Midwest get underway.

There was minimal movement in each of the five regions, with a handful of teams dropping out after subpar starts.

Three-point play
Player of the week: Junior Reggie Bullock of regionally-ranked Kinston (N.C.) conquered the competition at an Illinois tournament last weekend. Bullock, a 6-foot-6 guard bound for North Carolina, totaled 97 points in three games, shattering the Trusted Choice Tournament of Champions record for points by 24. He also scored a tournament-record 36 points in an 89-61 win over Lake Forest (Ill.) Academy in the semifinals of the four-day tournament. Kinston won three games to capture the title and Bullock was tabbed most valuable player.

Game of the week: Hoosier mania is alive and kicking Saturday night (7:30 p.m. ET) in Indiana when the top two Class 4A teams -- No. 24 Lawrence North (Indianapolis) and Marion -- meet in Indianapolis. Lawrence North, which has produced NBA players Greg Oden and Mike Conley Jr., plays Friday at Terre Haute South and will need a quick turnaround. Marion, last year's 4A runners-up, is a favorite to reach the title game again.

Must-see event: The Bill Keightley Marshall County HoopFest tips off Thursday for a three-run, 17-game run at Marshall County High in London, Ky. This hoops crazy bucolic setting features several teams ranked by ESPN RISE. Friday night's top games are: No. 3 Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.)-No. 6 Duncanville (Texas), 8 ET; No. 4 St. Benedict's (Newark, N.J.)-Provine (Jackson, Miss.), 9:30 ET.

Saturday's second session has six games, six of which involve ranked teams. The top games are Scott County (Georgetown, Ky.), Kentucky's top-ranked team, against Duncanville, and the nightcap is No. 35 Montverde (Fla.) Academy and No. 5 Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.).

Records through Nov. 30.
