Top 5 teams set for battle

Last week, five new teams entered the MDVarsity.com High School Basketball Rankings. This week, four new teams enter the ranking; the only thing for certain with next week's ranking is that at least one of the top five schools will lose.

No. 2 DeMatha hosts No. 3 Bishop McNamara on Friday. DeMatha held the top spot during the first week's ranking, but a loss to Oak Hill allowed Montrose Christian to take over as No. 1. With a win over McNamara, the Stags could make a case for reclaiming No. 1. This will be the first of two regular-season meetings between DeMatha and McNamara.
