The following are this week's ESPN RISE National Soccer Players of the Week. Players are recognized for their performances from the previous week (Monday through Sunday).

Boys player of the week
Kyle Schickel, St. Xavier (Ky.), Sr., F
Schickel is making a serious play for Kentucky player of the year. Brandon Paul, St. Benedict's (N.J.): Paul was in goal in 18 matches this year, 14 of which resulted in shutout victories for the state's Prep A champion. Paul is also a youth national team member.

Max Lachowecki, Evansville Memorial (Ind.): Lachowecki scored in both the state semifinal and final to help Memorial to a second straight undefeated state-championship season. The sophomore forward has never lost a varsity soccer match, as Evansville Memorial is 45-0-5 over the past two seasons.
