Texas teams' rankings on the line
ESPN will release the ESPN RISE FAB 50 national boys' soccer winter rankings each week of the regular season and playoffs, continuing through the final matches of the Texas state playoffs.
Only five matches were played by FAB 50 teams last week, and a 4-0-1 record led to no movement in this week's rankings.
That level of complacency will not last long.
The Texas 5A playoffs get underway this week, and all it takes is an early exit to an unranked team to spoil what has been a fine season for any of the 10 Texas 5A teams currently in the FAB 50.
FAB 50 No. 1 Jesuit (Dallas) figures to get tested this week with possible second- and third-round matches against No. 26 Carroll (Southlake, Texas) and No. 32 Marcus (Flower Mound). Of course, for those match-ups to occur, Jesuit will need to get past Irving in the opener.
Results through March 22.
