LANCASTER, Mass. --Four of the 12 2009 US Youth Soccer National Champions were crowned Saturday at Citizens Bank Fields at Progin Park, in Lancaster, Mass., where the country's top teams have earned a place to compete in the final leg of the 2009 U.S. Youth Soccer National Championship Series.

Under-14 Boys

After finishing in a 0-0 tie Frdaiy, the West Coast FC (Calif.-S) and St. Louis Scott Gallagher (Mo.) faced off Saturday for the William J. "Billy" Goaziou Cup. After a scoreless first half, Cristian Canales put one a way in the 43rd minute for West Coast FC. Then, West Coast's Justin Dhillon beat the attacking St. Louis keeper to the left and completed the breakaway for a 2-0 lead in 63rd minute. Despite St. Louis taking 11 shots on goal and five corner kicks, it wasunable to finish and the game ended 2-0, West Coast. This is West Coast club's first U.S. Youth Soccer National Championship.

Under-14 Girls

The Elmer Ehlers Cup featured Mustang Blast (Calif.-N) and CASL Spartans Elite Black (N.C.) as the two under-14 Girls teams sought victory in their first attempt to claim the national championship. Both teams played to a scoreless tie Wednesday in their round robin match-up. Saturday, CASL tested the Mustang Blast keeper Beth Ritter with several shots on frame. Ritter was up to the challenge and the Blast offense relieved some of the pressure with a Stephanie Amack goal in the 26th minute. The Blast defense held up to preserve the 1-0 win and claim the national championship.

Under-15 Boys

Two strong clubs met in the adidas Cup, as Baltimore Casa Mia Bays 94 (Md.) faced Sereno 94 White (Ariz.) in the under-15 Boys national title match-up. The Bays entered today seeking the "U.S. Youth Soccer Double" as Cup and National League champions and the sixth U.S. Youth Soccer national championship crown for head coach Steve Nichols. It would take the Bays only 14 minutes to connect on a Michael Gamble goal, his third of the championships. As the pressure continued to build, Sereno settled in and held off several Bays scoring chances. Malcolm Harris' goal off a set piece from the top of the box in the 56th minute gave Baltimore all the insurance they needed and the Bays took the 2-0 win over Sereno. The Bays took the Double and earned Nichols a record sixth title (two wins for the 88 and 93 Bays and one each for the 90 and 94 Bays) with a chance for a seventh tomorrow in the under-19 boys final.

Under-15 Girls

Both the San Diego Surf (Calif.-S) and the Dallas Texans Red (N-Texas) participated in the US Youth Soccer National League where the Surf finished as champions and the Texans in third. The familiar under-15 girls teams played through 80 minutes of regulation to a scoreless tie despite 19 shots on goal Saturday. Two overtime periods produced the same 0-0 result. The contest went to penalty kicks, the only game of the day, to determine the champion. It took 11 kicks from the mark to determine who would hoist the Kristine Lilly Cup. Both teams made their first kicks, followed by two saves from each keeper in the second round. Ariana Zargarian, adidas Golden Glove winner, proved to be the difference maker blocking the second Texan attempt. San Diego Surf earned the national championship title, 6-5 in penalty kicks, and like the Under-15 Baltimore Bays, claimed the "US Youth Soccer Double".

Each national championship match features the awarding of the adidas Golden Boot and Golden Glove award for outstanding play and goal keeper, respectively. The adidas Golden Boot and Glove has been awarded since 1998, complete list of the 2009 winners below.
