Today's This Week in History segment highlights three high school girls' soccer performances.
Jan. 18, 1991 -- Melissa Wells of Ridgewood (New Port Richey, Fla.) scores what was then a national record 14 goals in a match. Her performance, set against Pasco Comprehensive (Pasco, Fla.), stood for 11 years.
Jan. 23, 1990 -- Tina Loftus of Fallbrook (Calif.) records her second 42-save outing only 11 days after her original school record-setting performance in a girls' soccer match against Torrey Pines (Encinitas, Calif.).
Jan. 30, 1992 -- Stacy Webster of El Segundo (Calif.) records seven assists in a girls contest against St. Monica (Santa Monica, Calif.).
