Under-17/18 Academy Rankings

In what figures to be a rare occurrence, there is not a single change in this week's top 10.

The ranked teams went 7-1 last week and the one loss was in a Top 10 clash that was decided in the final minute.

The LA Galaxy and FC Dallas are running Nos. 1 and 2 with undefeated Sockers and Colorado Rapids at Nos. 3 and 4.

Throughout the rest of the season, ESPNHS will offer a weekly glance at the top 10 teams in each age group.

The rankings will remain the same next Thursday as all Academy teams are idle this weekend, with the exception of those teams participating in the Dallas Cup -- which has no bearing on the Academy standings.

It should be noted, these rankings are not predictive, but rather reactive to the results. In other words, the higher ranked team has accomplished something on the field to earn that position for now. As such, we expect quite a bit of turnover in the top 10 -- especially the bottom three to five spots -- throughout the rest of the Development Academy season.
