Champs crowned at ESPNHS Games

Miami Carol CityTim CaseyMiami Carol City won the championship game of the KSA Events National Football Summer 7s with a 39-36 victory over Booker T. Washington (Fla.).

The 2012 ESPNHS Games are taking place this week at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Thousands of high school athletes are taking part in the fourth annual event, which features competition in football, basketball, lacrosse, baseball, softball, field hockey, and track and field.

Here are some highlights from Tuesday's action at the ESPNHS Games:

Champion All-American Showcase (Girls' Lacrosse)

Chelsey Sidaras from William Floyd (Mastic Beach, N.Y.) recorded seven saves in the second half to help lead Team Freedom to a 16-13 win over Liberty in the championship game of the Champion All-American Showcase. Read more here.

KSA Events National Football Summer 7s

Miami Carol City defeated fellow South Florida power Booker T. Washington 39-36 in the championship game of the KSA 7-on-7 football event. Booker T., which won last year's event, entered the title tilt having won 59 of its last 60 games.
