Morris earns Elite 11 finals nod

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Shane Morris was more disappointed in his performance at the Dallas Elite 11 regional than the fact he failed to get an invite to the finals. He was able to rectify that Friday.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Michigan commit from De La Salle (Warren, Mich.) trekked to rival territory to the city of Columbus, Ohio, and left with a ticket to the Elite 11 finals.

"I'm ecstatic right now," Morris said. "It's a huge honor and a blessing."

Morris, ranked No. 37 in the ESPN 150, went to the Dallas regional earlier this spring but failed to come away with the ticket to the finals in California. At the Columbus regional, Morris was much more consistent and completed the final event with a touchdown pass.
