Two junior quarterbacks combined for 13 touchdown passes, and a senior receiver broke the Illinois record for receptions in a game -- again -- to highlight the ESPN RISE Regional Players of the Week.

Teddy Bridgewater
Tom Hauck for ESPN.comTeddy Bridgewater is a big reason for Miami Northwestern's hot start.

East Region Player of the Week
Derek Buganza (Brockway, Pa.)
Just a junior, Buganza's passing has been a bonanza for the Rovers. In a 74-28 win last Friday over Otto-Eldred (Duke Center, Pa.), Buganza completed 33 of 44 passes for 594 yards and six touchdowns. The 594 yards broke the state record of 511, set in 2003 by Pat Devlin of Downingtown East (Exton, Pa.).

Southeast Region Player of the Week
Teddy Bridgewater (Miami Northwestern, Miami, Fla.)

Bridgewater, a junior who took over at quarterback last year after Jacory Harris led the Bulls to the 2007 mythical national title, was 19-of-24 for 327 yards and a Miami-Dade County-record seven touchdowns in a 54-23 win last Friday over Hialeah-Miami Lakes (Hialeah, Fla.). Bridgewater hit five different receivers for scores. This past summer, he led Miami Northwestern to the Nike 7ON Tournament championship in Beaverton, Ore.

Midwest Region Player of the Week
Mark McDonagh (Riverside-Brookfield, Riverside, Ill.)

The 6-foot, 170-pound senior wide receiver broke the state record for receptions in a game for the second time this season, with 25 catches for 225 yards and two touchdowns in a 48-7 win last weekend over Elmwood Park (Ill.). He had 20 catches earlier this season, after tying the previous record of 19 in another game. The 25 catches tied for fourth-most all time. The record of 32 was set in 1942 by Larry Bennett of Mogadore (Ohio).

Southwest Region Player of the Week
David Hill (DeSmet Jesuit, St. Louis)

The 5-9, 195-pound senior, who is still looking for big-time college offers, had a big-time outing last Friday as the Spartans improved to 5-0 with a 58-39 win over Vianney (St. Louis). Hill carried the ball 33 times for 314 yards. He also scored six touchdowns. DeSmet needed Hill's performance, as Vianney quarterback Dalton Hewitt hit on 32 of 47 passes for 445 yards and five scores.

West Region Player of the Week
Bryce McGovern (Monte Vista, Danville, Calif.)

In a two-week stretch, McGovern has emerged as a record-breaking player to watch. He has the benefit of having UCLA-bound Brett Nottingham throwing to him, and the junior shined last Friday with 10 receptions for 300 yards and five touchdowns as Monte Vista (3-0) beat Heritage (Brentwood, Calif.) 54-21. The five TDs are a CIF North Coast Section record, and the 300 yards are second on the all-time section list (Pleasanton Foothill's Neima Khaila had 329 in 2004). In his previous game, McGovern had six catches for 177 yards and three TDs. He also came up with three interceptions and forced two fumbles.
