After games ending Sunday, Dec. 17
NOTE: With the playoffs having ended, these are the the last Pennsylvania weekly rankings of the season.
The wonder of the postseason is that even the best teams can fall, making no game ever assured. But the best of the best teams can take care of business through the most difficult circumstances. Archbishop Wood is one of those teams. After losing in the first week of the season to Pittsburgh Central Catholic, Wood ran roughshod over the opposition and dominated postseason opponents to win a Class AAA title. The Vikings weren't alone; Central Dauphin, Lancaster Catholic and Clairton also won when it counted to earn state championships.
