INSIDE THE TEXAS LONGHORNS' CLASS

Karen Aston continues her outstanding run on the recruiting trail with a 2014 class that features three in-state stars and a fourth from Colorado. The headliner is Ariel Atkins, a 5-foot-11 guard from Duncanville who was named the Morgan Wootten player of the year as a senior after averaging 17.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.8 steals and 3.9 assists.

Atkins, the No. 3 prospect in the nation, is joined in the Texas class by her Duncanville teammate, three-star point guard Tasia Foman. The duo helped lift Duncanville to a No. 4 ranking in the final espnW 25 Power Rankings of the season.

The third member of the Texas class is Brooke McCarty, a 5-4 point guard from Clear Springs (League City, Texas), the No. 29 prospect in the country and Atkins' teammate at the McDonald's All American Games.

Rounding out the Longhorns' class is Diani Akigbogun, a 6-foot forward who helped lead Regis Jesuit (Colorado) to a state championship and the No. 8 ranking in the final espnW 25 Power Rankings of the season.
