Samantha Logic of Racine, Wisc. (ESPN HoopGurlz)

Landing the No. 10 player in the class (Samantha Logic) and having that player be at arguably the most important position in the game (point guard), really makes this class special. Graduating a guard the caliber of Kachine Alexander, who is a threat to post a triple-double in any given game, leaves some big shoes to fill. Logic is the player who can replace her and potentially elevate a 20-win program that lost to Stanford in the second round of the NCAA tournament in 2010. She makes her teammates better and has the competitive fire that energizes teammates, which isn't something you can track in a box score.

But Logic is just one piece of the five-player puzzle. Joining her is the No. 2 ranked prospect from Iowa (Virginia Johnson). The 6-foot-1 wing, who is ranked 62nd overall in the class by ESPN HoopGurlz, brings a high level of skill and a smooth athleticism to the perimeter that should complement 3-point shooters Jaime Printy and Kamille Wahlin.

A pair of three-star prospects, 6-2 forward Bethany Doolittle and 5-4 shooter Kathryn Reynolds, and a two-star prospect, 5-8 guard Melissa Dixon, join Iowa's two top 100 commitments in this impressive haul.
