The recipe for success in Lexington has been speed and transition with several four-guard sets. No. 17 Bria Goss brings an athleticism similar to Kentucky's breakout freshman last season, A'dia Mathies. The difference is that Goss is coming out of high school two inches taller and with a more advanced skill set than Mathies showed in high school.
With Victoria Dunlap finishing up her career at UK this season and more than likely moving on to the WNBA, Matthew Mitchell's program needed to add another interior player. The Wildcats did just that with Azia Bishop, ranked 34th in the class. The 6-foot-2 post from Toledo, Ohio, has a back-to-the-basket game and the versatility to get out in transition. She is the No. 3 post in the class and a great fit.
