The Yellow Jackets add two pieces to a young roster starting with Sydney Wallace, a 5-foot-10 guard from Duluth, Ga. Ranked 45th in the class, Wallace is a guard who provides instant offense with her ability to create shots against skilled defenders. She isn't afraid to take tough shots and she can carry the load for a team. Consistency hasn't always been there but she embodies the gunner role and has made enough progress as a distributor that she may be able to play some point for MaChelle Joseph's team.

Tech also signed one of the top international players, Tjasa Gortnar from Slovenia. She has the size and strength to play on the interior but, as most expect from European players, she has perimeter skills to exploit. She can create shots off the dribble and has the confidence to be a go-to player. Gortnar compares with American prospects ranked in the top 50 in the class, making this signing class a gem.
