The recipe for success in Lexington has been speed and transition with several four-guard sets. No. 17 Bria Goss brings an athleticism similar to Kentucky's 2010 breakout freshman, A'dia Mathies. The difference is that Goss is coming out of high school two inches taller and with a more advanced skill set than Mathies showed in high school.

With Victoria Dunlap finishing up her career at UK and joining the Washington Mystics, Matthew Mitchell's program needed to add another interior player. The Wildcats did just that with Azia Bishop, ranked 34th in the class. The 6-foot-2 post from Toledo, Ohio, has a back-to-the-basket game and the versatility to get out in transition. She is the No. 3 post in the class and a great fit.

While not impacting the Wildcats' signing class ranking, the program added more help in the front court with the mid-season transfer-in of Samarie Walker from Connecticut. Walker averaged 6.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game in the 17 contests she played in before leaving the Huskies.
