Bashaara Graves of Clarksville, Tenn.
Tennessee checks in at No. 3 in the early recruiting class rankings, but with interest from two more 5-star prospects in the class, the Lady Vols could climb up.
Bashaara Graves, the 6-foot-2 forward who is ranked 5th in the ESPNU HoopGurlz 100, headlines this class. Her physical style of play in the paint will certainly allow her to earn minutes early.
Graves won't be alone in supplementing the Tennessee frontcourt as 6-1 Jasmine Jones of Madison, Ala., can play inside. Her athleticism may allow Pat Summitt the ability to play her on the wing as well. With Cierra Burdick and Isabelle Harrison starting their freshman campaigns this year, the depth and versatility in the paint will be a strength.
What Tennessee could use in this class is a true 5-player, which it hopes to add with Rachel Hollivay of Columbus, Miss. She will make her official visit to the Knoxville campus on Oct. 8, the fourth of her five scheduled visits. Another big name with an official visit scheduled this fall is 6-1 guard Jordan Adams of Irvine, Calif. The No. 6 prospect in the class will visit on Oct. 22.
Summitt also has a commitment from 5-8 point guard Andraya Carter of Flowery Branch, Ga. The super athletic 4-star prospect is recovering from an anterior-cruciate ligament tear, and when healthy has shown that she can play multiple positions. Carter is the definition of an elite role player who adapts to the talent around her really well.
