Katie McCormick of Leonardtown, Md. (ESPN HoopGurlz)

With her 2012 recruiting class, Georgetown head coach Terry Williams-Flournoy has managed to bolster her team's perimeter play with two local products. Katie McCormick of Leonardtown, Md., is a tough, hard-nosed guard who has shown that she can score the basketball against the best of them. In her last days on the summer circuit, she proved that she was one of the better shooting guards in the class of 2012, anywhere. Her summer teammate, Logan Battle of Springfield, Va., will join her at Georgetown. At 6 feet 2, Battle is a long, athletic perimeter prospect with the ability to get to the basket and finish in traffic. She has the tools to be effective on both sides of the ball and could potentially be one of the better perimeter defenders in the country before she graduates.

Georgetown struck gold in January of 2011 when the Hoyas picked up a verbal from Dominique Vitalis of Bloomfield, N.J., a mobile post player who will fit in well to program's style of play. The addition of Vitalis is a major luxury as quality post play in the class of 2012 has proven nearly impossible to find.
