Bria Holmes of Hamden, Conn. (ESPN HoopGurlz)

Both Darius Faulk of New York, N.Y., and Bria Holmes of Hamden, Conn., are ranked among the top 60 of the ESPNU HoopGurlz 100, and their signings make the Mountaineers' class 15th in the nation.

Holmes is the highest-ranked in coach Mike Carey's class, at No. 28 and she brings an explosive 6-1 prospect to the wing position. Faulk, No. 60 in 2012, gives West Virginia toughness, athleticism and a lockdown defender in the backcourt. Let's not forget the Mountaineers previously secured a commitment from No. 87 Jennie Simms of Accokeek, Md., a 6-0 forward.

This class could be key to Carey and his program's chances of reaching the top of the Big East. Those odds will greatly improve if the team's fourth signee, Lanay Montgomery of Germantown, Md., reaches her potential. You're looking at a 6-5 post complementing a group that completely fits the program's style of play.
