With five juniors at 6-2 or taller on Georgia's roster, it became extremely important for coach Andy Landers to focus not only on talent, but also on inside depth in the 2012 and 2013 classes.
Georgia secured commitments from a pair of 6-3 interior players, four-star prospect Merritt Hempe of Falmouth, Va., and three-star post Kaelyn Causwell of Duluth, Ga. The Bulldogs also add an inside-outside threat to the wing with No. 83 Shacobia Barbee of Murfreesboro, Tenn.
The highest-ranked prospect in the five-player class is Marjorie Butler of Knoxville, Tenn., who checks in at No. 63. The 5-7 point guard has the tools to be Georgia's floor general as this 2012 crop becomes the program's core group.
Georgia was able to make a late fall addition with four-star guard Tiaria Griffin of Monticello, Miss. Griffin is an athletic wing who can score the ball in bunches. She also rounds out Georgia's class from a position standpoint, giving the Lady Bulldogs a complete starting five heading to Athens.
