Aisha Turner of Atlanta.
Clemson's lucky number in this class had been four. Through August, the Tigers notched four commitments, and each has a rating of four stars. On Sept. 20, coach Itoro Coleman added a fifth piece to her class, Aisha Turner of Atlanta. The four-star point guard could give Clemson a complete starting five from the 2012 class alone.
Two of the Clemson commits are in the ESPNU HoopGurlz 100 with No. 36 Jonquel Jones of Ellicott City, Md., and No. 64 Danaejah Grant of Piscataway, N.J.
Easily the most impressive part of this class is the amount of size the Tigers are adding in a class that lacks post depth nationally. In addition to the 6-foot-2 Jones, Clemson has a pair of 6-3 frontcourt prospects -- Kayla Montgomery of Powder Springs, Ga., and Nyilah Jamison-Myers of Orangeburg, S.C. With incoming freshmen Deja Hawkins at 6-3 and Natiece Ford at 6-2, Clemson will have depth in the paint to rival any team in the conference.
Add to Turner and the interior trio, Grant, a super athletic slashing scorer who can really fill it up if given the touches, and Clemson will have the weapons to make a significant move up the ACC standings in the not too distant future.
