ESPN Player Evaluations

Summer Showcase-July 11: Tinjum showed her smarts and versatility for North Tartan. She can play either forward position and be effective. She has the footwork and length take smaller wing players inside and the passing skills to play facing the basket. She really works on the defensive end and seems to have learned how much space she needs to give quicker players so that she can keep them in front but stay close enough to utilize her length to create pressure. She is a complementary player but one that makes her teammates better in a lot of ways. She sets screens with proper angles, understands spacing, makes passes most forwards can't make and has dependable range to 17 feet. (Hansen)

Nike Nationals-July 10: Not quite as effective as her Chicago play but still showing tremendous promise. Great basketball instincts and well thought in all she does. The size and agility make her a tough match up and her active play has defenders chasing her. Demonstrated more off the dribble than in the past and distributed it well as defenders rotated. (Lewis)

Summer Showcase-July 10: One of the standouts on the talented North Tartan 15 year old team, Tinjum brings a variety of skills to the table. Standing 6-0 tall, this Stacy, Minn., native has size, mobility and skills that make her a challenge for any defensive match up. She squares up aggressively and reads her opponent before attacking off the dribble. Her penetration gets her into the paint and often all the way to the rim. The pull up is a reliable weapon and her size makes her a threat anywhere in the paint. Her decision making demonstrates good court intelligence and her vision takes tremendous advantage of it. She gets out and runs the floor in transition and is a threat anywhere on the floor. Defensively she's aggressive on the ball but is challenged a bit by quicker, smaller match ups with her lateral speed. Lots of tools, lots of potential.
