Nike Nationals-July 10: The New Jersey native ended an impressive club season on a high note, leading her team to the first Nike Nationals Junior Division Championship. With Grant's size and strength at the guard position it is very difficult for opposing perimeter players to stop her from scoring off dribble penetration. At 5-9 she has the athletic ability and upper-body strength to get into defensive seams and pull up on a dime, with a quick release and excellent lift her jump shot looks effortless. Grant has a very relaxed demeanor on the court but that does not mean that she is not intense, if you really study her it is apparent she is a very calculating player and is thinking several plays ahead. She can push the ball in transition does a nice job setting up teammates for scoring opportunities. When Grant senses weakness in the defense she goes into attack mode and can score in bunches; her ability to do this unnerves opponents and it is one of the factors that added to her teams overall success in this tournament.
USJN DC-July 10: Versatile, athletic and strong combo. Smooth and fluid with the ball in her hands and creates both scoring opportunities as well as looks for her teammates. Not quite as sharp as she was in Murfreesboro but still playing a game that's got the college coaches watching closely. Defended physically but took a few chances on ball that left her out of position at times. (Lewis)
Battle of the Boro-July 10: This 5-9 combo guard plays with the Gauchos 15-year-olds team, but her game has an eye-catching maturity to it. She has a solid build and utilizes her physical strength in her play. Strong ballhandling skills and an attacking mentality make her a constant threat. Despite wearing a sizable knee brace, her first step and quickness created multiple opportunities off the drive. Once in traffic she navigates the bigs and comes up with the shot or pass without backing down from the size. The form from the perimeter is there and reliable and she's just as consistent on the jumper as she is the spot-up shot. Defensively she can stay in front of most opposing ballhandlers and, once again, she's quick to use her strength to her advantage. It would be interesting to see her playing in the older division and competing with the top tier of all the classes. (Lewis)
