ESPN Player Evaluations

Boo Williams-April 12: Any time you talk about post players in the 2013 class who can score, this 6-2 center from Montgomery, Ala., has to be in the discussion. Webb, the No. 37 prospect in the Super 60, is a handful offensively around the basket in large part because of her ability to create space with her size and activity level. When she gets the ball on the block, Webb has the ability to score through contact and shows a soft touch around the basket. As an offensive player, Webb's game is about power and strength. On the defensive side, Webb showed a tremendous amount of agility this past weekend as she moved out on the perimeter and guarded wings when her team needed her to. (Moore)

JOP Holiday Invitational-Jan. 12: At the Nike TOC a week earlier, much praise was given to St. Mary's (Phoenix) post Chantel Osahor for her passing ability for an inside player. Webb was pretty impressive herself at the Holiday Invitational. She is an intimidating presence on the blocks with a scary combination of physical strength and agility. When she was left one-on-on with a defender, she quickly assessed her mismatch and capitalized. When she was doubled or didn't have enough room to operate, she was quick to find a spot-up shooter or a slashing teammates for a scoring opportunity. She has the skill and repertoire to score a lot more than she does, but you can't fault her for making the right reads with all the talent that surrounds her at Hoover. It is that basketball I.Q. and physical presence that has her ranked No. 37 in the ESPNU HoopGurlz Super 60. (Hansen)

Hoover Big Orange-Dec. 10: Powerful low post game, shear beast on the boards. Has array of post moves can score with either hand in the paint, has face up game, handles the ball well, has very effective midrange shot, runs the floor , very good defender on low post as well as the perimeter, good passer, loves to mix it up, college body. Needs to trim down a bit and continue to develop face up game and mid-range shot. (Beverly)
