ESPN Player Evaluations

Battle-in-the-Bayou-July 2013: Imposing size and agility bring high-major interest; emerging back-to-basket game, mobility in uptempo and defensive ability; untapped potential and the aircraft carrier of the 2015 class. (Olson)

Boo Williams-April 12: If you want to know the importance of size, look no further than the Baylor women's basketball team, which went 40-0 on its way to winning a national championship. At 6-7, McCowan, of Brenham, Texas, has the size to make a similar impact at the next level. For now, it's too early to make Brittany Griner comparisons, but McCowan's upside as a tall and physically gifted post player are hard to deny. The young post has made large strides in the last year as she has improved across the board and is starting to make an impact in some of the most elite summer games. (Moore)

Flava Jam-July 11: Ultra impressive size and build. Has both the height and frame to make you think older but she's just scratching the surface basketball wise. Demonstrated some good hands and pulled in a few passes that would have gotten by most. Gets up and down the floor effectively and had some moments of good active cutting and posting. Showed some post moves that will serve her well down the road but they're still a bit deliberate and a half step slow at this point. Her stroke at the line looked fine and there's little question she'll be making a several trips there each game. Defensively she's uses her size well but will need to anticipate and react a little quicker down the road to really impact the game with the potential that she's showing. (Lewis)
