USJN Cincy-July 09: Trisha Liston has always been one of the more proficient scorers in the 2010 class. The 6-0 guard from Fenwick High School and the Illinois Hustle can knock it down from long range or beat an opponent on one of her bruising drives. However, what might thrill recruiters and intimidate other teams is that she's now doing it with a trimmer, more fit look. Since the April recruiting weekend it's obvious she has improved. Liston's strength and aggressive cutting helps her make the most of her teammates' screens and find good looks in the half court. You can always count on her to be there in transition. Liston is someone you want to have the ball in her hands.

Boo Williams-April 09: If you're looking for a power player on the perimeter, you don't have to look much further than the Illinois Hustle's Trisha Liston. What makes that power even more effective is the intense and aggressive approach she takes to every possession. Speed won't be the first adjective anyone uses with the Oak Park, Ill., native but her touch and long-range shooting opens up the floor for her and creates multiple scoring opportunities. When the 6-foot wing from Fenwick High School attacks the rim you can bet there will be contact and she almost looks like she looks forward to it. Finishing in traffic is not an issue and she gets to the line on a regular basis. Defensively, her assertive play makes up a half step that might be missing and she's a strong contributor on the boards. Ranked No. 34 in the ESPN HoopGurlz Super Sixty, she simply makes plays at both ends of the floor.

Summer 08: When talking about the 2010 class Illinois Hustle coach Derril Kipp said that Trisha Liston, his 6-1 guard from River Forest, Ill., "may well be the best in the state". Her play in Augusta and throughout the summer makes that a tough point to argue with. A bigger, solid guard, she plays in the mold of WNBA star Katie Smith. While not as explosive as Smith, she's aggressive in attacking the hoop and has the ability to spot up and knock down the 3. Her size and strength allow her to mix it up in the paint and finish in traffic. Teammates were also on the receiving end of a few sharp passes as she forced defenses to rotate on her penetration. Defensive foot speed may be the biggest question mark at the next level, but if she shows the same aggressiveness that she exhibits on the offensive end, she'll get the job done.

Summer 07: Liston can really heat up from long distance and her size allows her to get it off even when closely guarded. She has adequate athleticism and her mobility for her size is impressive. She can handle the ball well but needs to continue to improve in that area to help her to create more scoring opportunities. Her lateral quickness isn't on par with elite guards but she's not a defensive liability either. She has good basketball IQ and a good feel for the game. Her development over the next year will be something to keep a close eye on.
