Braggin' Rights Jan. 09: The Illinois signee has all the tools to have an immediate impact for Coach Jolette Law. While playing more of an interior role out of necessity she still shows the athleticism and skills that make her a giant headache for defenders. Her skills speak for themselves but the smooth way she covers the floor and the fluidity she shows with the ball makes her a constant threat. She can finish in tight but can just as easily create from the elbow on the drive. Defensively she changes shots but occasionally takes unnecessicary risks. She an impact player anytime she's in uniform and her Shaker Heights Team doesn%u2019t need her on the bench.

Summer 08 II: Karisma Penn, a 6-foot-2 forward from Shaker Heights, Ohio, continues to show why she may be one of the most versatile forwards in the 2009 class. The combination of her size and her athleticism makes her a challenging match up for almost any defender. With the speed to run with the guards, she can start the break and be there at the other end to finish it. In the half court her ability to create her own shot in the paint may be what sets her apart from the rest of the crowd. She posts actively both on the block and flashing into the middle. On the catch she can work both with her back to the basket as well as facing up and deftly getting defenders out of their stance to open up her scoring opportunities. At the defensive end that same agility makes her dangerous on ball as well as denying in the post. The guards with her All-Ohio team can gamble just a little more knowing she's behind them to help.

Summer 08 I: Lots of upside. Coming back into her own after a knee injury limited her throughout her sophomore year. She is a scorer in the paint. Good touch around the basket and plenty of counter moves. Athletically she is gifted as well. She gets off the floor well and stays active on both ends of the floor. She needs to finish consistently to make a similar impact at the high D-1 level and get stronger.
