ESPN Player Evaluations

Nike Nationals-July 10: Demonstrated the same up-tempo attack that she did earlier in the summer even pushing it more on the break. Shot the perimeter well and knocked sever impressive pull ups on the drive. Despite her slight build there is a physical aspect to her play at both ends of the floor. Seems to take things a step further each time out. (Lewis)

Nike Summer Showcase-July. 10: Lots of speed and quickness with some rough edges. Effective from the perimeter with a smooth stroke but at her best penetrating or attacking on the break. Runs the floor both in transition as well as defensively in taking away opponents opportunities. Aggressive defender who anticipates well on and off the ball. Best basketball may be down the line a bit. (Lewis)

Flava Jam-July '10: Barrett has evolved into more of a shooting guard and plays much taller than her listed 5-8. She has great length and should have no trouble playing the shooting guard position for most BCS conference schools. She can really get out and go in transition and will be best deployed in an uptempo style of play. She has proven she can defend 94 feet and loves getting into her opposition as a defender. Her handle has improved and with her quick first step she is a handful. She's getting to the rim to finish more while still having the ability to penetrate and pitch. With the style of play her club team has she doesn't show a lot of perimeter shooting, though we've seen her shoot it effectively in the past. (Hansen)

Summer Showcase-July '09: Barrett is a nice point guard prospect. She has good length and some range but is at her best penetrating and pitching to shooters. She's an aggressive player that gets after it on both ends of the floor. Could play some two and could be considered by some as a combo guard.
