- Erica Hernandez of Floresville, Texas, has verbally committed to Southeastern Louisiana, according to her club team coach, Theresa Nunn of the South Texas Hoyas. The 5-foot-8 guard is the Lions first commitment in the 2012 class.
Hernandez averaged 19.8 points, 5 rebound and 4.7 assists as a junior, earning TGCA All-State and All-Region honors. She also shot better than 40 percent from 3-point range last season and carries a 3.5 grade-point average.
