    No. 2 sophomore makes visit to Big East school
    Brianna Turner of Pearland, Texas, and the No. 2 prospect in the ESPNU HoopGurlz Terrific 25 for the 2014 class, is currently in Storrs, Conn., visiting the Connecticut Huskies, according to her club team coach, George Washington of DFW Elite-Washington. The 6-foot-3 forward is checking out the campus and taking in a practice as the Huskies prepare for their NCAA first round tournament matchup with Prairie View A&M.

    Turner, a five-star rated prospect, previously has made unofficial visits to Baylor, LSU, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and Texas A&M.

    No. 2 soph Brianna Turner visits SEC-country
    Brianna Turner of Pearland, Texas, and the No. 2 prospect in the 2014 ESPNU HoopGurlz Terrific 25, used the long holiday weekend to make an unofficial visit. The 6-foot-3 sophomore forward was in Baton Rogue, La., visiting LSU on Sunday, according to her father, Howard Turner. As part of the visit she attended the Tigers' 57-41 home win over Auburn.

    Turner also has made visits to Baylor, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and Texas A&M, previously. She has tentative plans to take unofficial visits to Auburn, Connecticut, Duke, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisville, North Carolina, Notre Dame and Stanford before the start of her junior year at Manvel High School (Texas).

    Turner plays for the DFW Elite club program and her father said making all those visits will depend greatly on her team's schedule and if she's selected to the USA Basketball U17 national team, which will hold its team trials May 17-20 in Colorado Springs, Colo.

    No. 2 Brianna Turner ('14) has big night for Manvel (TX)
    Brianna Turner had a big night for Manvel (Texas), posting 31 points and 12 rebounds during a 76-39 victory over Texas City (Texas) on Tuesday night.

    The 6-foot-3 forward, ranked No. 2 in the 2014 class by ESPN HoopGurlz, is averaging 20.5 points, 10.4 rebounds, 4.1 blocks and 2.3 steals during her sophomore season at Manvel.

    The victory improved Manvel's record to 24-2.

    No. 2 sophomore Brianna Turner posts a huge double-double
    Brianna Turner of Pearland, Texas, the super sophomore forward at Manvel High School, logged a double-double in her team's 79-24 win over Kempner on Tuesday night. The 6-foot-3 prospect, who is No. 2 in the 2014 ESPNU Terrific 25, finished with 24 points, 22 rebounds, 4 blocks, 2 steals and shot 61 percent from the floor.

    Turner's team improved to 3-0 on the season and she is averaging 21.3 points per game in those games. Manvel plays Morton Ranch Thursday night.

    Super frosh Brianna Turner has an impressive high school debut
    Brianna Turner, the 6-foot-3 wing-forward Pearland, Texas had an impressive high school debut for Westbury Christian. She finished the game with 29 points, six steals, three rebounds and two blocked shots in her team's 102-23 victory over Lamar High School. according to George L. Washington, Jr., an assistant coach for the team.

    Westbury Christian senior point guard Amber Orrange, a Stanford commit, had 18 points, eight assists, four steals and three rebounds while fellow senior Falon Ellis, an Iowa State commit, chipped in 15 points.
