- Kaliyah Mitchell of Stone Mountain,Ga., has verbally committed to Penn State, according to her club team coach, J.D. Davis of the Georgia Hoopstars. The 6-foot-2 rising senior post also considered Auburn, Kansas, Mississippi State, South Florida and Wake Forest, among others.
Mitchell, who is rated a four-star prospect in the 2013 class by ESPN HoopGurlz, committed to the Nittany Lions this past weekend while on an unofficial visit.
Mitchell is the third piece to the Penn State puzzle so far, joining ESPN HoopGurlz Super 60 wing-forward Peyton Whitted of Suwanee, Ga., and three-star post Infiniti Alston, a 6-5 post from Baltimore, Md., in the program's recruiting class.

- 4-star P Kaliyah Mitchell headed for a Big 12 visit this weekend
- Kaliyah Mitchell of Stone Mountain, Ga., is set to make an unofficial visit to Kansas this weekend, according to her father, Kenneth. The 6-foot-2 post prospect will arrive in Lawrence on Friday and spend the weekend on the Jayhawk campus.
Mitchell, who is rated a four-star prospect by ESPN HoopGurlz in the 2013 class, also has designs on visiting Auburn, Cincinnati, Mississippi State, Penn State and South Florida this summer but no additional dates have been set.
Mitchell just finished her junior year at Stephenson High School (Stone Mountain, Ga.).
